In one of the world’s busiest metropolises, Regent Hong Kong offers a different perspective on the city. Set along Victoria Harbour in Tsim Sha Tsui, the hotel has become a serene retreat, with contemporary interiors, a carefully curated art collection, and six restaurants and bars.
The property, which has long held a prominent place in the history of Hong Kong hospitality, returns after a transformation with a more modern interpretation. The redesign was led by architect and designer Chi Wing Lo, guided by a language of serenity, proportion, and balance between light and space. The result is a hotel that preserves its historic connection to Hong Kong through modern and sophisticated design.
Location Regent Hong Kong: One of Its Greatest Distinctives
Built on pillars above Victoria Harbour, the hotel creates a sense of closeness to the water. Inside, most rooms and suites offer full or partial harbor views, while expansive windows frame the cityscape as part of the architecture itself.
The hotel’s location makes it possible to explore Hong Kong from one of its most emblematic areas without giving up the feeling of a seaside retreat. Just steps from the hotel are the Avenue of Stars, K11 MUSEA, the Hong Kong Museum of Art, and the Hong Kong Cultural Centre. The West Kowloon Cultural District, home to M+ and the Hong Kong Palace Museum, is also easily accessible.
Design, Art and Culture
Regent Hong Kong houses a collection of carefully selected artworks, including pieces specially commissioned for the property. Art is present from the lobby onward, where sixteen translucent, shimmering vertical panels made of “Liu Li” glass bricks are on display. The lighting effects have been carefully refined, with adjustable color temperatures interacting with the glass bricks to create the ideal ambient light according to the time of day and weather.
Also in the lobby, a long scroll-shaped folding screen pays tribute to generations and cherished memories. Its spontaneous compositions and abstract brushstrokes in vibrant and subtle tones depict people, plants, and animals, drawing from pieces in the hotel’s original art collection.
This cultural dimension also extends to experiences offered to guests, such as private kung fu lessons, mahjong tile painting sessions led by artisans, and other activities that bring travelers closer to local culture.
Chi Wing Lo’s design reflects the idea of creating a space that represents Hong Kong without reproducing the city’s bustle.
In the rooms, the same design language appears through a palette of soft tones, light wood, granite, and textured materials. Custom furnishings and expansive windows were designed to make the landscape part of the experience. Victoria Harbour also inspired architectural details, such as vaulted ceilings reminiscent of ocean waves and loungers positioned in front of the windows, inviting guests to pause and watch the city unfold.
Regent Hong Kong Rooms and Suites
The hotel’s rooms and suites are true personal retreats of tranquility. Enjoy the views during peaceful mornings, when golden reflections shimmer across the clear waters, and take in the spectacle of the city lights each evening.
Regent Hong Kong features 497 rooms and suites with serene, understated interiors. Each space has been designed to evoke a sense of tranquility. Spa-style Oasis bathrooms, complete with deep soaking tubs, help rejuvenate body and mind after a long day in the city.
From the Classic Room overlooking Kowloon to the Corner Suite with Harbor View, the accommodations feel even more spacious thanks to open-plan layouts and expansive windows.
For an even more immersive stay, the Corner and Signature Suites feature spacious private terraces, with stunning views complemented by hot tubs and private pools.
In the Corner Suite with Harbor View, natural light fills the space through floor-to-ceiling windows. Suite guests also enjoy exclusive access to Regent Club, a residential-style retreat with personalized service.
Although the hotel does not have a spa, its rooftop pool and infinity-edge hot tubs invite guests to enjoy a moment of tranquility.
A Culinary Destination in Hong Kong
Regent Hong Kong reveals itself as a culinary destination, with six restaurants and bars, each offering its own distinctive concept.
Lai Ching Heen
Among the highlights is Lai Ching Heen, a two-Michelin-starred Cantonese restaurant with decades of history that elevates Cantonese cuisine into a refined art. The space combines jade tones, from elegant tableware to a corridor lined with intricately carved light-stone walls. Hand-painted screens add another artistic touch, while the kitchen presents refined interpretations of traditional Cantonese dishes. Dim sum is one of the highlights, accompanied by a selection of Chinese teas. Tasting menus also showcase ingredients such as hairy crab and Kagoshima wagyu.
Nobu Hong Kong
The hotel is home to the only Nobu restaurant in Hong Kong, bringing Chef Nobu Matsuhisa’s renowned Japanese-Peruvian cuisine to the city. Classics such as miso black cod and toro tartare with caviar are served alongside views of the harbor.
The Steak House
In a setting that is slightly less formal yet equally sophisticated and flavorful, The Steak House combines premium cuts with an elaborate salad buffet. The selection of meats brings together producers from different parts of the world, including Poland, the United States, Spain, Japan, Korea, and Australia.
Harbourside
In a sunlit waterfront setting reminiscent of a blend of garden and market, Harbourside serves international flavors, with a wide variety of Western, Japanese, and Indian dishes across its buffet stations, while regional Chinese cuisine takes center stage. Breakfast also features options inspired by Japanese and Cantonese traditions.
Qura Bar
In the evening, Qura Bar becomes an inviting setting for taking in harbor views while enjoying exceptionally crafted cocktails. Inspired by Art Deco, with vintage furnishings and fine woods, the lounge was designed as an intimate space for enjoying cocktails and spirits. The menu includes original creations inspired by artistic disciplines such as painting, music, cinema, and sculpture, alongside sophisticated interpretations of classic cocktails.

The Lobby Lounge
At The Lobby Lounge, three-story windows provide the setting for breakfast, afternoon tea, and end-of-day gatherings. In the evening, the space takes on a different atmosphere, with wine, champagne, and views of Hong Kong illuminated against the night sky.
Together, the six dining venues make Regent Hong Kong a culinary destination in its own right, where flavors, service, architecture, and the surrounding landscape come together to create one of the city’s most distinctive stays.
