Built upon structures dating back to the 13th century, the Palace Elisabeth occupies a unique position in Hvar's Main Square, directly above the old town hall, overlooking the marina and the social heart of the island. It brings together Venetian and Austrian architectural influences that have spanned generations. Rebuilt in 1899 as the Spa Hotel Empress Elisabeth in honor of Empress Elisabeth of Austria, known as Sissi, and one of the project's main supporters, the building preserves its historical identity while housing refined design rooms and suites, a spa with an indoor pool, panoramic terraces, and spaces designed to contemplate the city and the port. To this day, it remains one of Croatia's most symbolic addresses and a key part of Virtuoso's preferred portfolio, reinforcing its international relevance and ongoing commitment to high-end experiences in a setting deeply connected to Hvar's history.
